The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and, diploma courses in the streams of engineering, computer science, pharmacy, technology, and, architecture. All the courses offered at the university are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The 3 flagship courses of the university are B.Tech, M.Tech, and, B.Acrh. The CSVTU fee structure for all courses varies as per the specialization. Admission to all the courses is majorly entrance-based. Exams like JEE Main, NATA, GATE, GPAT, CMAT, etc. are considered for course admissions. At the undergraduate level, courses like BE, B.Tech, B.Pharm, and, B.Arch are offered. The admission process for the 2023 session at the university is expected to commence soon. The university accepts various entrance exams for admission to its UG, PG, and, Diploma courses. Some of these exams include the JEE Main exam, NATA, GATE, etc. These exams for the 2023 session are currently underway. Aspiring candidates must take note of the important dates for these exams for CSVTU admission. For admission to the B.Tech course, the JEE Main 2023 session 2 registration will end on March 12, 2023. The session 2 exam will be held from April 6, 2023, to April 12, 2023, in different slots. The result for JEE Main session 1 was announced on February 7, 2023. Further, for the M.Tech admissions at the university, the GATE exam for 2023 was concluded on February 12, 2023, and, the result will be announced on March 16, 2023. The last date for GPAT registration for 2023 is extended to March 13, 2023. CSVTU Application Process 2023

The application process of CSVTU is held in online mode. Aspiring candidates must ensure that they meet the basic eligibility criteria for admission in CSVTU. If this condition is not met, it may lead to the cancellation of the application. Apart from this, students are also required to appear for the entrance examination in accordance with their course. Once these two prerequisites are fulfilled, the following steps of application must be completed. The steps of application are as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the university which is csvtu.ac.in. Ensure to land on the correct website and not the duplicate or old website of the university.

Step 2: Click on the “Academics” tab on this home page. This will lead to a fresh page where a list of all the UG, PG, Diploma, and, Doctoral courses will be displayed. Choose the course of your preference and click on the course name.

Step 3: As the next step of the CSVTU admission process, register yourself as a fresh applicant. Registration will be done by entering details like the personal information, academic qualifications, and other required information. 

Step 4: Once registered successfully, log in again using the credentials created in the previous step. Fill out the detailed admission form with details like name, number, course, previous educational qualifications, personal details, etc. 

Step 5: Upload the scanned copies of all the required documents. Ensure that the documents are in the prescribed format and size only. The admission portal will not accept any document in any size other than that prescribed. 

Step 6: After re-checking the details, pay the CSVTU admission fee. The payment can be made through a credit card, a debit card, or net banking. 

Step 7: Upon successful payment, take a screenshot of the application form. Take a printout of the same as well. This will act as proof of payment during the counselling sessions. The following documents will be required during the application process:

• Class 10 mark sheet
• Class 12 mark sheet
• UG mark sheets (if applicable)
• PG mark sheets (if applicable)
• Photocopy of Aadhaar Card
• Caste/ category certificate (if applicable)
• Migration/ transfer certificate
• Character certificate 

The university allots seats to students on the basis of the scores of various entrance examinations like the JEE Main, GATE, NATA, CMAT, etc. The scores and ranks secured by candidates in these exams are evaluated along with the other eligibility criteria to allocate seats to students. The CSVTU Bhilai cutoff is affected by a couple of factors. The factors that influence the cutoff ranks of the university are as follows:

• The total number of students that appear for each of the competitive exams in the current academic year. 
• The total number of seats available for a particular course at the university. 
• The difficulty level of the exams like the JEE Main, GATE, NATA, CMAT, GPAT, etc. and the marking scheme of the current year for each exam. 
• Previous years’ cutoff trends for each course. 
• Cutoff evaluation scheme of the university for the current year. 

The overall CSVTU cut off for the 2022 session for the B.Tech course for round 1 was between 7307 and 7507. For round 8, the cutoff for B.Tech was between 160207 and 172175. The B.Tech cutoff is based on the JEE Main scores at the university. Apart from this, the university also conducts a CSVTU Pre-Engineering Test. The cutoff for the same was 27.5 to 31.5 marks.
